Accolade provides two types of thermostat – The multi-function digital programmable thermostat and the manual (non-programmable) thermostat.

Accolade multi-function digital thermostat.

The Accolade multi-function LCD room thermostat is a digital thermostat and programmer in one, providing up to four different temperatures at different times of the day. This is a combination model allowing the user to choose between the three different functions at the flick of a switch.

A-function

• This is designed to control a room’s ambient temperature with one temperature sensor located within the control module itself. The sensor detects the room’s temperature and automatically switches off the underfloor heating system when the programmed temperature has been achieved, switching on again when the temperature falls below the pre-set limit.

 A-F function

• This model has two temperature sensors and uses a floor sensor to control the temperature of the floor itself, and another sensor located within the control module to control the ambient temperature. This function is ideal for installations where it is necessary to restrict or limit the floor temperature (such as a solid timber floor) as well as controlling the ambient temperature

F– function

• This model uses a floor sensor to control the temperature of the floor itself. This is ideal for controlling rooms where the thermostat cannot be sited in the room to be controlled (such as a bathroom, cloakroom, en-suite, wet room etc). The floor sensor cable is three metres long and connects from the thermostat to between (but not touching) the heat mats. When the floor reaches the pre-set temperature the system will switch off, switching on again when the temperature falls below the pre-set limit.

 Manual Thermostat Features & Benefits

Accolade’s manual thermostat is a non-programmable budget model that operates the heating system by turning a temperature dial to the desired point. This thermostat controls the floor temperature and therefore is ideal for use in bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms, or installations where a programmable thermostat is not required.
